Surface Design and Illustrations
As the Senior Surface Designer/Illustrator at Kidkraft®, I developed the Supermodel Dollhouse as a bright modern plays for 12" dolls, featuring glitter stucco tile and modern and mid-century furniture illustrations. My role involved creating original surface pattern design and illustrations for the house, furniture, and textiles, as well as adapting elements from the existing library to match this dollhouse’s color scheme. I also created mood boards and color palettes and provided style concepts, which helped guide the team’s decisions during the development process.
Collaboration and Concepts
Furthermore, I worked closely with my teammates at Kidkraft® throughout the entire process, from initial concepts and mock-ups to final production. We used Adobe Illustrator and other design programs to create the surface design for the house, as well as furniture art.
Production Process
As the Senior Surface Designer/Illustrator for the Supermodel Dollhouse at KidKraft®, my role involved creating highly detailed production files with color and material callouts. These files were sent to Asia for manufacturing, so they needed to be clean, layered, and vector-based. This attention to detail was crucial for ensuring that the final product met our exact specifications.

The Supermodel Dollhouse has become a captivating and high-quality playset that delighted children and parents alike. It is a testament to the dedication and skill of the KidKraft® team in bringing such an excellent product to fruition.
